I was one of those engaged people who was so excited for their wedding and spent months planning and planning for our perfect day. I spent hours using my cricut machine along with even more hours ok social media gathering ideas for our wedding day. And man did I get the post wedding blues once we got married. Now as a mom, I am so excited to channel this party planner energy into every holiday and birthday party for my daughter.
Isn’t She ONE-derful is the perfect theme for a first birthday, read below on why!
Your baby girl’s first birthday is a milestone worth celebrating in the most magical way. If you’re searching for a theme that’s adorable, feminine, and perfect for photos, the Isn’t She ONE-derful first birthday theme is one of the most popular party ideas for baby girls right now—and for good reason.
With soft pinks, whimsical bow decorations, and sweet details that highlight your little one turning ONE, this theme creates the perfect setting for a memorable celebration. Whether you’re planning a small family gathering or a larger party, here’s what I did to throw the most ONE-derful first birthday party.
Think:
• Pink & White balloons
• Bow decorations
• Sweet dessert table
• Adorable photo backdrop
• Activity for the kids (soft play)
ONE-derful First Birthday Decoration I Used:

Balloon Backdrop
As I mentioned, I was so excited to plan and DIY for my wedding and I was even more excited to be able to use my wedding welcome sign wood board as the perfect photo backdrop for my daughter’s first birthday. DIYing is so fun for me so I used my cricut to put vinyl on the wood sign, created the balloon arch and did this cutesy ONE balloon sign.
GIRL MOM BRITT TIP – Create your own balloon arch to save hundreds of dollars. You use rubber bands and binder clips to secure the balloons on your sign.
High Chair Banner
We did use a high chair banner, as well! But forget to bring good tape!
GIRL MOM BRITT TIP – Never overestimate needing strong tape for a birthday party.

One Balloons
Oversized number one balloons in pink and white added some pops to these bar stools.
GIRL MOM BRITT TIP – If you want to save money buy your own helium tank and blow up the balloons yourself!

Adorable Smash Cake
A smash cake is a must-have for any first birthday party. Had this custom one created just for my daughter.
GIRL MOM BRITT TIP – Buy a sheet cake for the rest of the party to save money!

Sweet Treats for the Dessert Table
We used a mix of custom cookies, items from Costco and DIY “one” rice crispy treats that used a one cookie cutter to create this dessert table. Adding cute decor and table cloth to the dessert table is an absolute must. I found this really cute photo board to include photos of my daughter for each month of her.
GIRL MOM BRITT TIP – not everything has to be personalized or customized. You can save some money by DIY decor and treats, as well as, buying in bulk from Costco.

First Birthday Outfit
For our girly girl, we got the cutest girly girl tulle dress for her party. But we couldn’t just pick one outfit for her photos so we also got this adorable romper.
GIRL MOM BRITT TIP: No girl just need one outfit for her birthday!

Party Favor Ideas for Guests
Of course we needed goodie bags. We included:
• Bubbles
• Pink candy
• Personalized kid sunglasses
